Since enjoying their participation in our Pétanque in the Park sessions back in August, four of our newly fledged Junior section have been working and training towards the achievement of the White Award of Pétanque England.

Despite the stormy weather of 10th November, all four – Sam Rattue, Enzo and Ebony Latter, and Solomon Hemsley – submitted themselves to a rigorous examination independently conducted by Kath Knight, the Junior Coach of the Southern Counties Pétanque League.

All four acquitted themselves very well indeed and all successfully gained their White Awards which involved a combination of practical skills coupled with knowledge of the laws of the game.  Their success will in due  course be recognised with a certificate and a medal.  Well done to all four of them – and thanks to all their parents who have encouraged them to persevere.
