Ten couples played a 4 round Swiss for the Club’s Mixed Doubles Championship in decent weather (it not being too hot) and enjoyed the day. However, I made another significant error – in trying to finish as soon as possible I got the runners up result wrong (maybe it’s time to retire!!). As you can see from the spreadsheet below, both Anita & Gilles and Marilyn and Simon finished with 3 from 4 with plus 18. However, in my hurry I forgot to take into consideration points for! M&S came out top with 46 to A&G’s 42. So, Marilyn and Simon were Runners Up to Paula & Mark who finished on 3.5 from 4 with plus 9. My apologies to the “four”Runers Up for the error – both Anita & Gilles took it very well and will be handing over the trophies to Marilyn & Simon. All’s well AGAIN!!
