On a very hot day (too hot for many!) 12 couples took part in the Club’s 2026 Doubles Championship. The morning league results were compiled into one and the top eight went through into a Swiss format quarter final stage. Leading to eventual winners Trev H & David G beating Marilyn & Simon Hunt 13 – 11 on the extra end (11-11 at timed end), Congratulations to them and the semi-final losers, Carole & Boyd and Jim & Sean.
Boyd was congratulate on arranging the weather but was asked for warm but cooler conditions for future tournaments! And yes, Boyd was definitely “Cream Crackered”!
